Montreal Retro (2010)

After moving to Montreal I did this photo series, discovering the city’s hidden fossils, memories of long forgotten decades. Mostly on the Plateau and Mile End, there are many stores, which missed out on modernization, mostly for financial reasons. However in the last couple of years they became hip again. Just like those re-discovered places left behind from the socialist era in Budapest, where many new stores are restored back to their old, retro style as well.
